Splitting Christmas is sad. I miss my family when we don't go with them. This year we decided to have Christmas early so we could all be together! It was so fun, made me sad when they had to go. I'm so lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life. I love you!

Oh yes, and I thought I'd get a photo of the FIRST thing I did the morning of my birthday.....

1. I got to get up first thing to beautiful flowers and a super sweet card (and letter that was written to me about how awesome I am) from my sweet husband
2. Went to Lindsay's to decorate cookies with my friends Lindsay, Kyrsten and Jackie and their cute kids

3. Got my first kiss from Lindsay and had MANY birthday calls all day from my most favorite people!

4. Went to lunch and ate delicious ooey gooey pizza and saw my hot piece while he was at work

5. Lindsay watched Violet for me (for four blissful hours) so I could have some "quiet" time while Ollie napped

6. Played on Facebook for two hours and snacked on chocolate for two hours

7. My sweet friend Gina baked me a homemade apple LOVE cake and brought over ice cream with the sweetest card from her and Dana
8. Suitcase of Coke Zero left on my doorstep from lovely Kristin AND most amazing homemade hair bobble from Jessa (you AMAZE me girl!)

9. Went to Red Lobster with my Lova and kids and ate ALL of my shrimp sampler
10. Went Christmas shopping with Lindsay and Kyrsten and got almost everything done while Travis put the kids to bed
I had the BEST birthday ever and my favorite gift you ask?! All the people in my life that make me a better person just by being around them. You all make my heart sing! I love you so much and I don't know where/who I'd be without you!

1st cousin delivers 1st Class Awesomeness

Best Expression of the night. Hands Down.

Unimpressed Ollie

Family Lurve. We were by far the LOUDEST patrons in the restaurant. P.S. If there was any doubts that Violet was hitting her teen angst early, check out the face in these photos.

3 margaritas Dinner was a BLAST. I'm never hiring a babysitter again. From now on-it's a Mariachi Band.
She's surely going to hate me for this.

So cute I needed it twice (apparently)

The "Little Nanny" as she's often called around our house.
This is honest to goodness what happened. Ollie was BEGGING for a piece of tape and this is right where he placed it after I gave it to him. Shut UP!
LOVE him!

I looked back at all the times I've seen my cousin Gary from England and I figured it out that we see eachother once every decade. Not enough. You see, my cousin "Gary From England" is funny and completely brilliant. Double major from Oxford, successful businessman, great father and amazing cousin. We love him at our house. He had an impromptu trip to visit since he's decided to become an "academic" and go back to continue his education to recieve his doctrate. Yes, ladies and gents, he's going to become more awesome. Anyway, his first day in town and guess what he wanted to do? Go to a Wal-Mart. Anyone who has been to a Pueblo Wal-Mart will join me in the smirk I'm making right now. "Gary From England" got quite a kick out of the guns and hunting section. We polished off the "real America" as he called it with a jont around the Pueblo Mall. Again-I say, anyone who has been to the Pueblo Mall is joining me in the smirk again. He had a great time and so did I! AHHHHH, the English Humor is so refreshing.
We all spent the next few days having meals together, telling old stories and laughing together. I love my cousin "Gary From England" and I hope hope hope it's not another flippin 10 years before I see him again!

Crackin Nuts!

Violet and I had the opportunity to go see the Nutcracker Ballet while I was in Pueblo last weekend. We don't get many chances to hit the town (at two in the afternoon) by ourselves or as she likes to put it "just us girls and NO stinky boys-(i.e. Daddy or Ollie) So we got dressed up and drove in freezing temps to see the Nutcracker. Violet being Violet had 153 questions to ask me concerning the ballet as she's never before been to one. Is it going to be like Barbie Nutcracker? Will it be like our story book? Is the Nutcracker real? Do I get to meet Clara? Is there anything for you to buy me there? etc.
Well, we got to our seats and my little sweet sprite isn't heavy enough to hold down a seat. She sat down and her legs shot up to her chest. "MOM! It's happening again! (We have this issue just about every time we see a movie as well and I spend the whole movie holding the seat down with my knee) Anyway, she decided she wanted to sit on my lap throughout the performance and I was delighted! It's not very often that she wants to be that close to me for extended periods of time now that she's "mature." I loved it. Oh and she in fact DID get to meet Clara (and the Sugar Plum Fairy who was so cute I wanted to put her in my purse and take her home).
