It's a mouthful but it's her name. who you may ask? it's our lovely new flat faced persian kitty and we let violet name her. many of you know we recently had to part ways with our two cats beans and gus (who thinks of better names? hands down-violet). we did this due to what i thought was oliver's allergies (which turned out to be just a blocked tear duct and through time i've realized that he does not have any cat allergies whatsoever. (i was a TAD hormonal when i got rid of the other kitties and truthfully i still feel pretty bad about it.)
violet has been missing having a kitty and she's not the only one! travis is not the biggest fan of cats, which i found out AFTER we got married, i probably wouldn't have married a non-cat person had i known. anyway, he told me that the only cat he wanted was a flat faced persian and i figured it would never happen since they cost so much money and i'd personally rather rescue a cat from a shelter than pay a breeder.
long story short, travis was looking on craigslist (yes they have pets) and found this lovely little black kitty and fell in love with her! i emailed the lady, thinking all this was too good to be true, but she decided she no longer had the time to care for her and wanted to find her a new home. she fit all the things i wanted in a new kitty! she is older (i'm going to respect her wishes and not reveal her actual age, we'll just say she's "mature") and she never pees on things-i have no tolerance for that. she also told me that she had a super sweet personality. lo and behold, it's all true! this kitty was dropped off to us on saturday (for free, along with a litterbox, food, litter, cat dishes, a cat house and a cat taxi) i feel like we won the feline lottery because this cat is so awesome! we love her so much!!!!
