"I'm a Child"

So the mommy mafia had it's first ladies night (of many many)more to come. We ate a yummy dinner (at least we all really enjoyed kristin's chicken) and my personal favorite was watching Dana sample some of Emily's tofu. Among other things, I also loved Amber's "cardboard" story, Emily's traumatic break-in tale from "child"hood, and so many other things that still have my abs sore from laughing so hard. HEY!-that's a great way to get my stomach from the jowels (sp!?) of a dog to six pack in no time! The evening was so awesome and I was sad to see it end. I am so grateful for the amazing women in my life. MOMMY MAFIA WHUT WHUT!

busy bee

So my sweet darling little lady started preschool a couple of weeks ago and I have been wanting to write something, but since my school started the same week, things have been a little crazy. So, as per usual, I couldn't sleep because of my anxiety/wild imagination. I was so worried she would be worried that we weren't with her, she would be scared because of the new situation, etc. I was also worried because travis was the one to drop her off and not me. When I got to my class I was a shaky wreck. I kept dropping all my drafting supplies all over the place and my teacher asked if I was feeling a little "off" that day. So I called Travis to here about the "damage" I caused my child by taking her to preschool (i'm such a monster) and he informed me that she was totally 'fine.' of course she was. anyone who knows Violet knows how independent she is and she is loving school so much that she asks me every day if it's a "school day" or not. sigh. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Now if I could just get her to recieve her "bee" sticker for good behavior at school........................

So I guess technically this isn't my REAL first blog because I did create one a couple of weeks ago and it poofed away into cyberspace somehow. Or maybe I didn't put in the information correctly. I doubt that's it though since typically, I don't make mistakes. Just ask my sweet sweet man candy. It's pouring rain and it's the first day in a while that I actually have a moment to sit down and do this. I'm sure my ramblings aren't at all exciting to many, but I sure like to hear myself talk so there you go.
Basically the main purpose of this entry is to express how grateful I am for the wonderful friends I have. I feel more than blessed to have these uplifting, funny, talented, brilliant, beautiful women in my life to help me to strive to be a better mother, wife and woman. I wonder what I've done to deserve these amazing people in my life??? You ladies ROCK and I know you know who you are.......
