Manorexic

There are times when I freak out about things -then times when I let them go. This is the situation where I have decided to let go. When Ollie was born, he was an excellent nurser. He actually even weaned himself at 8 months because he preferred bottles so he wouldn't have to work as hard to get fed. I was overjoyed when he loved his oatmeal so much I had to make him seconds (which NEVER has occured with my Teeny Girl). All of a sudden-it stopped. He went through his weird "beige only carbs phase" and then just became picky. I really started to lose it. I worry so much about so many things they eat, is it organic? Does it have BPA? Does it have added hormones that will lower his sperm count? (yes, I'm totally nutty. It's okay, I've accepted that as well) Anyway-Finally, I gave up. I realized that he will eat when he's hungry and the fact that he can fit into 9 months pants at 18 months old. Let that go too. I love this little boy so much and I am so glad for all the things he IS that I decided to let go of the things he's not. His doctor isn't concerned at all since he drinks like a gallon of milk a day. I'm not kidding-I should've gotten a cow to tie up on our patio to milk every morning. I think the money I spent on organic milk last year was more than our cars. These pictures are the only ones I've gotten of him actually eating well, so I thought I'd share. (Also because I want to brag about how adorable he is! LOVE THIS BOY!)

Gillian,
Good for you in being able to "let go". I thought I was the only nutty one, so it's nice to know I have some company! In reality though, we're good moms. When we can let go of some things, it makes us even better :) Thanks for bragging about your adorable boy, I love to hear about him :)
